Day 3: 21 Day Hair Fast

Hello Saints! I'm at day 3 of my hair fast and I'm feeling pretty good. I know it has only been three days but I have been tempted to do a little something to my hair but I'm determined to make it through. Prayer is truly helping me. Although, to some my exemptions I have set for my hair fast is easy breezy to them. Although, I do not use heat on my hair daily and sometimes not even weekly but I have that option to do so if I please (with moderation of course *smile*). Now setting a hair fast and not use ANY hair tools?? Not even to do a cool air dry?? Yes I do need Jesus to give me strength (LOL). I have confidence in myself that I will make it through 21 full days of mainly water, oils and a plastic cap for my hair routine!

In the above photo are the supplies I am using through my hair fast. I do not use everything at once. I pretty much pick and choose based on how I feel. Here is a list of what is in the photo:

• Extra virgin coconut oil
• Jamaican black castor oil (JBCO)
• Castor oil
• Avocado oil
• She butter
• Alba Organics Drink It Up Coconut Milk Conditioner
• In the spray bottle is organic aloe vera juice, aloe vera gel, pure vegetable glycerin, filtered water, a squeeze of lemon and dash of a pure oil mix.

Today I did a conditioner only wash and combed out my hair in the shower while the conditioner was still in it. There after I t-shirt dried then applied avocado oil and shea butter on my damp hair. I covered my hair with my satin wrap to air dry for about two hours. I then sprayed my hair lightly with the aloe vera mix and applied a mix of JBCO and castor oil to my edges and ends, covered with a plastic cap to began the GHE or Green House Effect and called it a day. I do not have to be anywhere today so my hair will stay in the GHE today and tonight. I will not air out my hair again until tomorrow. I have said my prayer today so I'm well on my way.
